MORNINGTON RUNNING FESTIVAL

It is with great regret that due to the Great Hike (1000s of competitors) using the trail the day before and concerns from the Shire the impact on the vegetation along the trail this event has been rescheduled to new date 2 September 2023

The Red Hill Rail Trail is a small pleasant trail that runs from Red Hill to Merricks, on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. It’s a gravel, dirt and grass surface.

What a great warm up to the Mornington Running Festival.

Start line
Location: Red Hill Rail Trail Start/Finish behind Epicurean

Date : Saturday 2nd September 2023
5km start: 9:00am
10km start: 9:15am

Bib Collection
Saturday 2 September- 7:00am-8:30am in front of Epicurean

All runners will be timed. Your Race Bib contains a disposable timing chip, if you don’t wear your bib, you won’t receive an official time.

Finish line cut off
All participants must be finished by 11:15am

Priority start
Any participant who believes they will place in the top 10 in either the 5km and 10km events will need to start at the front of each race start.

Participant Instructions will be available for download closer to the event.

Drink stations
There will be a drink station located at approximately every 2.5km mark.

Bag Drop
Clothing storage is available during the run/walk. Your race number features a tear-off strip for you to attach to your backpack or clothing bag. Do not leave any valuables in your bag as we cannot accept responsibility for valuables lost or stolen.

Registration
Strictly maximum 500 entries for this whole event Registration close online 24 March 5pm if available. If there any entries available on race day we will take entries

Withdraws/Refunds
You don’t have to notify Event People if you are unable to run for any reason. However, there are no refunds for non-starters or non-finishers.
If you wish to withdrawal from the event you will receive a credit note for next years event. You must notify us by 22 March 2023 to qualify.

Results/Prizes

Awards/Trophies will be presented to the following for both events.
Male and Female – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd - Under 18, 19-39, 40-59, 60+
